Thermal Product Sensors
Changes in thermal product can be used to monitor biological and chemical processes, engine performance (coolants and fuels) and changes in living systems. For processes and engine monitoring it is the ability to detect changes and end points in a mixture that is particularly useful, e.g., following a chemical reaction – has it started, is it progressing as it should and has it finished? Thermal product measurement can be applied to a wide variety of systems with minimal method development.
Oil Condition and Debris Monitoring
Oils, fuels and other liquids, particularly in high-performance engines, are essential to maintaining optimum function and avoiding failures and downtime. Proxisense’s technologies can continuously monitor liquids conditions, using Thermal Product, but also presence of small amounts of metal contamination caused by wear.
Proxisense, working with partners in jet engine manufacture and defence, have been developing technology that works on engines to provide a continuous quantitative data stream that can both help avoid catastrophic failure and assist scheduled preventative maintenance.
High Precision Engine Timing
Proxisense has also developed eddy current sensors that can work under the extreme conditions and performance required for continuous monitoring of jet engine blades. Our solutions provide unprecedented accuracy at the highest engine speeds.
