Eddy Current Sensors

PrOXisense, through its association with Oxford University, is a world leader in the manufacture, , operational electronics and interpretation of resultant data of Eddy Current sensors. PrOXisense high resolution, optimised directional probes can continuously operate at 650° C and can survive for more than 1000 hours operating over 1000°C . The sensors are capable of measuring smooth surfaces and are resistant to most contaminants. These sensors are being used to measure proximity and vibration in many applications including Hot and Cold end Aero-Engines.

  • Temperature range -55°C to +1000°C Steady state
  • Temperature range unsteady state -55°C to 350°C
  • Pressure range full vacuum to 300 bar
  • Specialised material selection for applications such as steam turbines
  • Most hostile of environments and sensors can be designed to operate in Customer defined environments
  • Steady state sensor extremely robust and suitable for the most hostile of environments
  • Suitable for measurement of seal running faces and the associated shafts
